Raphaël Charles is a self-taught designer. His pieces, far from being the result of a ‘materialist’ desire, are born out of a need to embody a desire for contrast with the breakneck pace of change, the hyper-consumption of ideas, things, and time. the piece shows time in suspension, positioning itself as an interface in space, and produces lasting relationships.
Raphaël creates - in the purest sense of the word. through a cognitive and experimental act, reiterated every time he creates, he manipulates materials, forms and functions in an open and unrestricted evolutionary process.
