Liparus is the result of a meeting between two men, Philippe Swimberghe and Michel Trapani,
passionate by their respective business, Industrial Design and Cybermarketing. "User-centric"
values are guiding their daily professional approach and even get them together on some projects.
Beyond creativity, imagination, aesthetics and innovation, their aim is to combine the company's
and final user's expectations, taking into account ergonomics, functionalities, technology and resources.
But in reality, Liparus is the result of another essential meeting, between these two men and Daisy.
Who is Daisy? Daisy is a table designed by Philippe. Daisy was introduced to Michel, late 2008,
and he rapidly fell in love with it... Two men and a table... That was enough to launch Liparus!
The objective of this duo is quite simple: sharing the delight of creation, taking time to appreciate in
order to reach well-being and satisfaction... In other words, nothing but pleasure!
Liparus is a platform for the edition of design, functional and original objects.
Keywords: shapes, ergonomics, comfort, satisfaction.
Still brand new, (Liparus was created early 2009), this platform is therefore in a constant evolution,
depending on inspiration, creation, etc.

Philippe SWIMBERGHE (Belgique)
His training at the Art College of Design (Europe) led him to different jobs:
- Industrial designer
- Founder (1995) and manager of the company Phil Design Studio (www.phildesign.com)
- Design consultant, accredited by AWEX (Walloon Foreign Trade Agency)
- Teacher at the Institut Supérieur de Design in Valenciennes (France)
Creating new products or improving others, while keeping the essential constraints such as
ergonomics, manufacturing methods, costs, etc., is a real challenge for him.
His job is not his only passion... He is also passionate about old cars (especially the Citroën DS) and
spends his free time to restore them.
Pleasure is enhanced when he can give them a second life and use them every day, or even take part
in rallies, such as the Rally Monte Carlo Historic.
Michel TRAPANI (Belgique)
Trained and experienced in IT, logistics and foreign trade, Michel once decided to begin studies in Marketing.
Combining his background with his passion for the Internet, he decided to create his own company
TrapaNet in 1998 (www.trapanet.be) and soon became a pioneer in Cybermarketing in Belgium.
RENTIC consultant accredited by the Région Wallonne, he thinks, acts and breathes "user-centric" and "performance management".
"Take time to think to act better and faster ... "
Analyzing the company and its targets, to better understand their needs and expectations, using user-centered methods, combining business and users objectives, taking into account elements such as
technology and resources, ... All of this helps Michel making good decisions.
Although he's a workaholic, Michel has other areas of interest... related to good food: wine (mostly
Italian wines of the South) and lovely meals (all!)... as long as he can share it with friends.
